Christina is 9th Avenue School of Dance's Artistic Director. She is also the current Artistic Director of Aria Dance Company. She teaches the following classes:
- Pre-Ballet/Tap
- Ballet 2,4,5 and 6
- Choreographs for Aria Dance Company
Christina has trained and performed in many forms of dance - predominately Ballet, Jazz and Tap - since she was 6 years old and still trains to keep up to date with, as well as, to learn new dance techniques and to bring that knowledge to her students. Dance has been an inspiration her entire life and has brought her many opportunities, as well as, the priviledge to work with so many beautiful and talented people.
Her other passion is cultural relations and she has a BS in International Studies from the UW. Of course, her family, husband, daughter and son are her greatest joy!
Christina believes that dance gives the students an opportunity to express themselves while gaining self confidence, mental and physical strength and self discipline. "These are all qualities needed to be successful in life". Helping students progress and achieve their goals is a very wonderful feeling and she plans to teach until she is 90 or 91.
Her favorite dance related shows are: "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "The Nutcracker", of course. She enjoys Directing productions as it is both challenging and rewarding. No two productions are the same.
She enjoys her lattes, any kind of pie, chocolate and Thai food. She loves to read, hike and "look" at antiques (as these are usually too expensive to buy!).
Christina is very happy with the School, the dancers, and parents. "The School has become an extended family". She also appreciates her teachers and thinks they are awesome!
Concerning the floors, she thinks they are excellent and that they were built with love.
"We will keep adding to the walls - a clock is coming soon - of course I like the painting scheme - I helped to pick it out!".
"I'm very happy with my teachers. I want to see the School continue growing and do more productions as well as provide our dancers with all the necessary attire, clothing and accessories". She will continue to work in expanding the School and also position Aria Dance Company to be a resident dance company in Federal Way.
